How to remove a work domain without administrator login.

• I have a user account but can't make any changes to computer because I am not an administrator of a work domain. The admin went to jail and I have no way of gaining access. I don't have the original disks to computer either. How can I remove administrator control of my Dell Laptop?

  Thanks for your question.

  To remove your computer from a domain, please check whether you can use administrator account or the user account on your computer that has the permission to join and unjoin domains.

  If you have the permission, you could right click on This PC and go to Propertise and in Advance System setting , Computer Name and then switch to Workgroup and write a name and then restart your PC.

  Unfortunately, if you don't have the permission, you need to ask for your  domain administrator user for help or reset your PC.

• This problem has not been resolved. I am having the same issue with Windows 10. DC was removed. PC's were not unjoined from domain. Local account does not have admin rights to do anything. I can't install or do anything on this pc as a result. Can I do an in place reinstall to remove it from the domain without disturbing the user data or settings? Thanks.

• Hey, sorry about these lousey replies. I see they dont even come close to answering what you are asking. I would recommend booting into a USB with an ISO on it that allows you to change admin passwords. I use Hirens Boot Disk. If you put the iso of that on a USB drive, then boot to it, you will be able to go into the utilities of the pre-os software and change the password of the admin account. Then you will be able to manage that device better. Hope this helps.
